Important: As of March 2024 Meta has renamed the “business ad account” to “business portfolio”.
To Create a new business portfolio please follow these steps:
Step 1: Log into Your Facebook Account
Go to https://www.facebook.com
Use your personal login details to access your account.
Step 2: Access Facebook Business Suite
Open https://business.facebook.com/overview in the same browser that you used to login.
Click “Create an account”
Step 3: Link your Business Page to your Business Portfolio (Ad Account)
For step 3 make sure you are already logged in to your Facebook account.
Then please open: https://business.facebook.com/
To add your business page to your business portfolio please first select the business portfolio that you want to add the page to.
Then click business settings.
Click on pages under accounts. Then add an existing facebook page or create a new facebook page.
Step 4: Add a Payment Method
Go to Billing: https://business.facebook.com/billing_hub/
Then Click on the portfolio that you want to edit
You may need to assign the role of finance editor to yourself if “Add Business Payment Method” doesn’t work.
Then simply add the payment method.
Step 5: Verify Your Ad Account
Facebook may request additional verification (e.g., linking a phone number or email).
Complete any prompts to ensure your Ad Account is active.
